How did the bats not just eat these guys on their ride back? |

Special Rules
“Cut the head off the snake”
Thorin’s “A Score to Settle” applies to any Enemy Leader, not just Azog. Thorin can call a Heroic Challenge against the Enemy Leader without expending Might. If Thorin is Slain in Combat, he may automatically inflict a Wound against any Enemy model in base contact, applying Orcrist’s Bane rules if applicable.
If Dancing on Ice was like this I'd watch |
“Thorin Oakenshield will pass into Legend”
Thorin counts as a 6” banner to all friendly models.
Thorin's legacy is having a pointier nose than his grandfather |
“I would save them if I can”
Bilbo gains Sworn Protector (Thorin) and whilst Thorin is alive Bilbo may disengage with enemy models in base contact during his Move Phase on a Turn which began with Bilbo wearing the One Ring. Whilst Bilbo is not wearing the One Ring apply the following effects:
Whilst Bilbo is within 3” of Thorin, Thorin benefits from Master of Battle. Additionally, friendly models within 3” of Bilbo may use his Resistant to Magic rule as if it were their own.

Covering Fire
Bilbo may apply his Throwing Stones special rule as though using a Slingshot, allowing for movement with Shooting and up to two Shots per turn with a 12” range. Hits on a natural 6 automatically inflict a Wound.
Legolas when stationary extends his range to 30”, and may re-rolls his to Hit and to Wound rolls when Shooting. Once per game, Legolas may opt to use his Deadly Shot ability to use Orcrist as a throwing knife against an enemy model in Combat with Thorin. If this shot hits, it will automatically cause a wound, applying the effects of Orcrist’s Bane rules if applicable, and for the remainder of the game, Thorin will have Orcrist added to his wargear and Legolas will lose it.
Imagine Legolas accidentally yeets Orcrist through the back of Thorin's skull. He can't have practiced throwing a whole goddamn sword that often. |
